These are scenes around downtown Amherst. It's a pretty town. It actually resembles Burlington except that it's much bigger.

NERCOMP Conference - Amherst, MA

Mark and I attended a NERCOMP conference on malware at UMASS at Amherst, MA. We had a great time as always.

Dodge Caliber

Mark rented this car for our trip to Amherst, MA on May 1st. We attended a 1-day computer conference on campus at the University of Massachusetts (UMASS) at Amherst.
This car is so brand new that it only had 3 miles on the odometer. The rental guy told us that it was dropped off at the lot by truck that morning. He also said that this is a new model and apparently the dealers don't even have it yet. This car is called the Dodge Caliber. Although, it looks good, it's really not a well designed car. We didn't like it.

Grass Is Green!

The grass in my lawn is so long and it's ready for mowing.


These dark patches are not cow dung! They are actually created by moles digging in the ground. Darn critters!


Ahhhhh................Freshly mowed lawn.
I mowed my entire lawn on April 29 and 30th. I believe this is the earliest I've ever mowed in the season. Must have something to do with the global warming effect. I don't know!

Vermont Maple Festival 2006

Attended the annual Vermont Maple Festival in St. Albans on Friday afternoon with my kids. This is a festival to celebrate Maple syrup and anything and everything about it. Vermont is the largest producer of maple syrup in the United States and it's a tradition come every spring. For those of you that don't know, it takes about 40 gallons of sap from maple trees to make one gallon of syrup.
