First Snowfall of 2006

We received our first snowfall this winter on Friday October 20, 2006.
It started as rain and then quickly turned into snow as the temperature dropped. My wife's sister was visiting with her family from Quebec and they arrived much later than expected due to bad road conditions. Apparently, it was a whiteout on the highway and they couldn't see much in front of them. Thankfully, they made it to our place safe and sound.

Dinosaur Bug

I saw this bug on the side of the fridge when I was preparing my breakfast.
These bugs have been trying to come indoors for the winter. Somehow, some do succeed. My wife calls them the "Dinosaur Bug" for the way they look.

In The Fog

Took these pictures on my way to work one morning.
It was very foggy and a good opportunity for some interesting photo shoots around the train tracks.

My Wedding Anniversary

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary on October 6.
I was a little late to work that day as I had to take care of some matters for the kids. When I got to work, I was surprised to see this beautiful bouquet of roses, a cheesecake, and a lovely card on my desk. My wife had bought these items on the night before and hid them in her car. She snuck into my workplace early and left me these gifts. I was truly surprised, felt extremely grateful, and very happy.
She made my day!
I love you, Honey and Happy Anniversary!

Gordo's Shoes

Gordon bought some new shoes a few days ago. He found the same pair of shoes in a different color but they didn't have it available in his size. They were on sale for $49. The lady told him that they had the same model shoes in a different color which he ended up buying above. But he got screwed! When he was paying for them, the cashier told him $64! He asked why they were more expensive and the cashier responded, "....these are different color!" He still ended up buying them.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!

This has been the biggest joke in the office for the last few days. I laughed so hard when he told me this story, and I still pick on him everyday about it.
Now, you know why the "No Harjit Zone" was created!

No Harjit Zone!

Gordon created this "No Harjit" sign!!

Bill designed and created this sign to replace Gordon's homemade one above.

Gordon behind the "No Harjit Zone"!!
I wonder if this sign was put up for some specific reason.

Lunch With The Boys!

Mark, Bill, Gordon, and I had lunch this afternoon at Hooter's.
Since, all of us have various commitments after work, we decided to do lunch instead. Unfortunately, we couldn't drink and we all settled for Coke!
We were there to celebrate the end of Gordon's four months of probation. So, he made it and now we're stuck with him! He he he! :-)
By the way, we had some hot chicken wings, and they were awesome!
Ahem!

Everyone's Hero

I took my kids to see on Sunday to see "Everyone's Hero." We all enjoyed the movie. We actually wanted to see "Open Season" but when we were standing in line to purchase tickets, we were told that it was sold out. So, I quickly scanned the board to see what was available and we settled on this movie. It wasn't showing for another 25 minutes, so we had plenty of time to get some popcorn and good seats.

The Guardian

I saw this movie on Sunday afternoon at the Essex Cinemas.
It's a movie based on the US Coast Guard staring Kevin Costner and Aston Kucher. I was a good movie. I liked the story, the special effects, and how the movie ended.

Brown To The Bone!

My co-worker, Sherrie, recently gave me this T-shirt which she acquired from UPS. It's in reference to their logo, uniforms, and trucks.

"Brown To The Bone" is what I am!

Local "Movie Star"

Ah, my buddy, Mark!
Doesn't he have a pose of a movie star?
He looks a little short from this angle, must be a camera trick!

Maybe you have seen him as the lead actor in the "Trailer Park Thunder", "The Creeper From The Trailer Park", "Mark Does The Trailer Park", "Have Trailer Will Travel", "Ticondetrailer", "LOST in Trailer Park", "Survivor - Trailer Park", "Nip Truck", and many more. He also has some small roles in several soap operas like, "All My Trailer Park Children", "Guiding Truck", "The Bold & Beautiful Trailer, and "As The Trailer Park Turns."

See him soon at a theatre near you!
