Party On, Hannah!

Hannah had a little party with a few of her friends to celebrate her birthday. Jen and I picked the kids from their respective homes and drove them to the YMCA for a few hours of swimming. Then, we celebrated the birthday girl with some ice-cream at Friendly's. Hannah was happy and she enjoyed her party. That's all that matters.

Happy Birthday, Hannah!

Matt & Cronies

.
I spent Friday (9/21/07) night with Matt at the beachfront house he rented with his wife and friends on East Lakeshore Dr in Colchester. Campfire on the beach, good chats, laughs, drinks, and fun. And, that's what she wrote. Matt and I found some time to catch up on stuff too. By the way, these folks are ex-med students from the College of Medicine. The party was still lively when I returned home at 1:00AM.

Spunky Annie

.
This is Annie, Matt and Bernie's daughter. She's about 13 months old and a real cutie. I gently ventured into her territory and was able to pick her up for a little bit. Easy does it! She didn't cry. So, looks like I've still got that magic touch with babies.

Matt Arrived!

.
Matt, my ex-coworker and buddy, arrived from Kansas City today (9/20/07) along with his wife, Bernie, and daughter, Annie for a quick visit to the area. I greeted them at the airport and brought Matt back to our office. The last time we saw him was slightly over two years ago. I stay in touch with him and infact we communicate almost on a daily basis. Everyone in the office was excited to see him and appreciated his visit. He couldn't believe how much has changed since he left, like new buildings, facilities, technologies, etc. He has not changed at all. Like I tell him, he's still a dope!! :-)
Great to see you in person, Bud!

Children of The Corn

.
We went to visit the relatives on Labor Day weekend and on our way home, my kids asked if I could take their pictures in the corn field. The lighting would have been better if we had taken the pictures on our way to the relatives but these pics above still turned out okay.

Ribbit Ribbit

.
Frog legs, anyone? They do taste like chicken! I know, I've had them, including many other critters!
Found this guy by the house next to the rain gutter. It was so well camoflaged that I didn't even see it. Almost stepped on it but Hannah was quick to point out.

Praying Mantis

.
Caught this little bugger on the pool ladder recently. Hannah wanted to swim but she wouldn't get in. I heard her crying, so I went to check, and found this dude! It was pretty big and it stayed there long enough for a few shots.

Lights at CVFair 2007

.
Tried some camera techniques at the Champlain Valley Fair Expo and I like the results. These were all done by hand-held as I didn't have my tripod with me. I mention this because it's quite difficult to capture shots like these without a tripod as any small movement would distort the picture. My wife and kids attended a concert at the Fair which included some stars from the hit teenage movie, "High School Musical." I decided to walk around and capture some shots.
Pictures were taken on 8/27/07.
