Happy Birthday, Darling!

Celebrated my wife's birthday last Monday at the Tuscan Kitchen Restaurant. She wanted to go to the Olive Garden but it was too busy and the wait was too long. We ended up at the Tuscan Kitchen which ended up being a much better place. The wait staff sang "Happy Birthday" to her in Italian which was special and nice. We all had a good time together.

A Mess on Deck

We had relatives over from Quebec and therefore ended up producing more garbage than usual. During one of the garbage bag changes, a bag was left on the kitchen deck overnight and the freaking animals got to it. They ripped the bag and made a mess of the place. On top of that, it rained and the mess was soggy and wet. Arghhhh........!!

Thunderbirds

The Thunderbirds performed their aerial stunts at the VT Airshow in Burlington. The aerial displays and stunts were performed over Lake Champlain at the Waterfront. It was actually raining during this performance. I will be posting a series of pictures from the airshow soon.

Fasten Your Seatbelt!

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. I'm Captain Dhaliwal and assisting me in the cockpit today is First Officer Siple. We have reached cruising altitude and you are free to roam about the cabin. However, while seated, please keep your seatbelts fastened, especially if you plan to use the lavoratory. You don't want to be tossed around the pooper and have crap flying at you at the speed of sound. It could get messy! If this happens, Senior Flight Attendant, White, will be able to assist you. Sit back and relax, we won't get you covered. Thank you for choosing Trans Pooper Airlines!"

p.s. I took this picture as I was leaving the Air National Guard base in Burlington Vermont after watching the Airshow, and the static displays.

Whale's Tail

You don't have to go to the sea to see a "Whale's Tail"!!
I saw one at the Burlington Waterfront.
Look's like it goes well with some Coca-Cola!

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with these women? What's the point of wearing pants if you're going to show everything inside-out?? I often wonder, and wonder, and wonder, .................

5000 Hits, Baby!!!

I checked my blog this morning to see my hits and noticed the counter was exactly at 5000! I quickly captured a screen shot of it. What are the chances of seeing the counter at exactly 5000??

Smoke Stacks

I captured this shot as I was walking to my car after work today. This is the top of the Stafford building at UVM. I stood on the sidewalk at the Given parking lot between the Water Tower and the HSRF building, and snapped a few pictures.

I straightened the picture, increased hue and saturation, and added the double border. I'll be posting this tomorrow on TE.

Windmill in Sepia

I took this picture after I parked my car at work this morning. The clouds were fantastic this morning and I thought the windmill would give this composition a nice touch.
I cropped it slightly, adjusted the horizon, filtered it into sepia, and added a double border. I posted it on TE.

Case Method Room

This is the Case Method Room in the new Medical Education Center. It has over a 100 seats and is filled with some high-tech technology. This is where the students generally take their exam and attend some lectures.

This picture was taken with my cell phone, therefore, it's somewhat grainy and blury. But you get the gist of it.

Broken Shredder

My co-worker, Heidi is busy fixing one of the shredders in our office.

Track It

I took this picture of a train track near my house a couple of weekends ago. I cropped it and turned it into a black & white composition. I posted it on TrekEarth. Here is what the original looks like.

Laptop Handout

The first year Med students received their laptops on August 7th at approximately 3:30PM in the new Medical Education Center building.
Laptops were setup, configured and ready for the students at the time of the handouts. My co-worker, Gordon, did most of the ground work and was responsible for most of the laptop handout project. He did an awesome job despite some obstacles, challenges, and things beyond his control.

Dirty Cloud

What's up with this cloud? Sorry, no pun intended. Instead of cloud seeding, did someone accidentally sprinkle Viagra? Naughty, naughty cloudy!!

Black Eyed Susans

I took this picture on Friday between the Given and Rowell buildings at UVM. We were heading to the American Flatbread Pizza party and I decided to stop and take a couple of shots of these lovely flowers. I posted it on TrekEarth and received some critiques.

Visitors Must Register!

With the recent heightened security and chaos around the world, it appears that you have to register and get DOD clearance before you can use the potty.
No ID, No Potty! Simple as that. You can never be sure these days what one can do with stinky rotten feces. It could be dangerous if this shit gets everywhere!

American Flatbread Pizza

The College of Medicine had a little party for the Med students on Friday. They organize pizza with the American Flatbread Pizza company. They come out and setup a huge clay oven and cook the pizzas right there on-site. It's really good pizza!

Mark's New Altima

This is Mark's new Nissan Altima which he picked up this week. Actually, it's his wife's. I'm not surprised, are you?

Animated Me!

I designed this guy from head-to-toe to resemble me.
Unfortunately, they didn't have beer gut as one of the body choices!
This will do.

Buh-Bye Sweetheart

I caught my buddy, Mark, moping and in a state of sadness after work. It was his last day with his piece of crap, Nissan Altima. He has been with her for 11 years and today she was going to a new home, the Nissan dealership. She is being traded for a newer younger model, which will serve him for another 11 years.
He's lucky with these Babes!

Like Mark likes to hear, "Buh-Bye."

How To Trap a Flea!

Apparently, we had a little bug problem in the office recently. The problem was isolated to a specific area, so only a couple of staff members noticed or seemed to be affected by them. So, my boss called the bug experts, and they told her to place a container with soapy water under a bright source of light. According to them, fleas are attracted to light and therefore, will jump up towards it and will fall into the dish filled with soapy water, and they won't be able to get out. The experiment was started at the end of the business day Friday and it ended this morning (Monday).
The experiment was a flop! Nada! No fleas in dish!
